23. This value of PL efficiency is higher than previously reported (45 ± 5%). However, the discrepancy is only 4%, once the error bars are considered, and is well within the scatter that is generally observed between different batches of the same material. This may depend, for example on a different cis-trans ratio (not precisely controlled in this material), which has a significant influence, as demonstrated for a similar, although different material [15]. We also note that the results are not entirely comparable since a different laser source was used here.
