To speed-up the calibration of the system, and reduce the noise in the measurements, we applied a 4 x 4 binning to the original 1024 x 768 pixel images. This reduced the time spent in the calibration from ∼6 hours to ∼30 minutes and increased the pixel alignment accuracy. The same binning was applied to all our experimental data.
