In nature, examples of fundamental time-reversal symmetry breaking exist. Weak nuclear forces, such as those involved in kaon decay, break timereversal symmetry and lead to the matter-antimatter asymmetry in the universe. If time had been reversed, however, this would simply lead to reversal of the definitions of matter and antimatter.
