    • The nature of this series cannot be unambiguously assigned. Van Meerendonk previously assigned it to a cyclopentanol end-group but were unable to explain its origin. In the current case, the mass fits better with a pentanol end-group, but its source is also unknown. It should be noted it is not a contaminant of the CHO monomer (using GC-MS)
