    • Note that it is possible to achieve higher RR values for individual-vapor pattern matching than for binary-mixture pattern matching in most cases, because in the latter cases there is an inherent correlation between the pattern for the mixture and those of the two components. The greater difficulty in differentiating a mixture from its components as compared to differentiating a set of individual vapors from each other has been documented in several studies [9-11].
