    • The calculated d-spacings are 10.6 and 3.4 Å and the thickness of these crystallites, as estimated from the Bragg rod intensity profiles, is ∼10 Å. These values suggest monolayer crystallites of stacked hematin molecules aligned almost vertical to the water surface.
