Association of MCP-1 and CCR2 polymorphisms with the risk of late acute rejection after renal transplantation in Korean patients, Int J Immunogenet 2008; 35:25-31. Authors studied the polymorphisms in the gene of MCP-1 and its corresponding receptor, CCR2, in 167 Korean recipients and showed an association between particular polymorphisms and acute rejection. This study demonstrates the potential interaction between polymorphisms of the two genes studied. Although this study used multivariate analysis with adjustment for potential confounders, the adjustment for multiple comparisons has not been done.

Authors postulated that the polymorphism in question is associated with mycophenolate mofetil response.
