Catalyst (S)-2Db is commercially available as "Maruoka Catalyst" from Kanto Chemical Co., Sigma-Aldrich Co., and Strem Co. In addition, Nagase & Co., Ltd. produces various artificial amino acids at the kg scale according to similar experimental conditions without much modification.
