In the case of oxidative amidation of aromatic aldehydes with benzylamines, it is observed that a fraction of the benzylamine derivatives are converted into their corresponding aldehydes, resulting in a mixture of amide products, which were analyzed by NMR spectroscopy and gas chromatography
