    • Live analysis of endodermal layer formation identifies random walk as a novel gastrulation movement
    • This work reveals that during zebrafish gastrulation the internalized endodermal precursors engage in a random walk to begin to form the most internal, endodermal layer of the embryo. This type of directed nonoriented migration differs from directed migration of individual mesodermal cells, and from early gastrulation movements of the ectodermal precursors, which move as a sheet.
