    • One of the most plausible attempts to accurately describe real coordination entities in terms of regular geometric polyhedra has been the introduction of the continuous symmetry measure, S. Following its mathematical definition, deviations from a given polyhedron in bond lengths as well as in interbond angles both contribute to increase the S value.
