    • Developmentally regulated activation of a SINE B2 repeat as a domain boundary in organogenesis
    • The author identify an upstream SINE B2 repeat in the mouse GH locus that can generate overlapping Pol II and Pol III-driven transcripts and have enhancer-blocking activity in cells. During pituitary development, activation of the Pol II transcripts is correlated with the transition of GH locus from heterochromatin domain to euchromatin territory. They further demonstrate that the SINE B2 element is required for the BAC transgene expression.
