    • Both proteins migrate with a higher apparent molecular mass than predicted, indeed almost twice that determined by mass spectrometry (full-length bacterially derived GlyCAM-1, observed mass (ESI-MS)=14409Da and 14451Da for the acetylated species; semisynthetic GlyCAM-1 observed molecular mass (ESI-MS) = 16776 Da).
