Green's functions have been widely used to analyze acoustic wave propagation in a different way. In Refs. 14 15 16, the dynamic response function (elastodynamic Green's function) for the acoustic wave equation with point excitation is used to describe SAW propagation in a homogeneous anisotropic semi-infinite medium. In Ref. 17, the poles of the elastodynamic Green's function for layered anisotropic medium are used to analyze the dispersion relation.
