    • By assuming that the absorption coefficient does not change between the free and Ag-bound diarylethene, the weight ratio of Ag to diarylethene is determined to be 15:1. TEM image shows that the diameter of the Ag nanoparticle is around 4 nm; therefore, the rough molecular formula of Ag-1a is Ag 20001a130. The surface area per molecule was estimated to be 0.4 nm2
