See EPAPS Document No. E-APPLAB-90-030703 for the two hydraulic valves that are cyclically opening and closing at 6 s intervals. The movie shows the duration of valve closure at ∼0.2 s and valve reopening at 0.6 and 2.0 s for 38.6 and 11.9 mm long channels, respectively. Control and fluidic channels are filled with red and blue food dyes, respectively. The channel intersection measures 100×100 μ m2. This document can be reached via a direct link in the online article's HTML reference section or via the EPAPS homepage (http://www.aip.org/pubservs/epaps.html).
