This fascinating clinical study described the neurohumoral and cardiac features of 19 patients with acute cardiomyopathy related to stressful life events. While the concept is not new, this study provides one of the more comprehensive clinical studies and review of the phenomenon.

This study provided evidence that inflammation associated with vaccination may quickly and transiently affect vascular stiffness and reactivity. This provides a novel model for the assessment of effects of inflammation on vascular disease in humans.
