    • These experiments were carried out with a strain expressing a PhoP protein with a C-terminal hemagglutinin tag from the chromosomal phoP promoter and exhibiting normal regulation of target genes. Thus, this strain was used as "wild-type" Salmonella in this study. Similar findings were obtained with the "untagged" parental strain 14028s (fig. 51).
