    • 6S/Au over the entire surface, the thickness change should be the difference in thickness of the two monolayers (30 Å - 6 Å = 24 Å). Since this exchange is occurring over only the exposed 75% of the surface, then the predicted thickness increase is ∼ 18 Å, very close to the observed change of 17 Å.
