-3, Z = 2. Data were collected at 123 K on a BRUKER-AXS 2K CCD system. The structure was solved by direct methods, and least-square refinement of the model based on 14 871 (all data) and 11 427 reflections (I > 2.0σ(I)) converged to the final values wR1 = 0.2232 and R1 = 0.0886. Compounds 3 and 4 each cocrystallized with a molecule of hexane which could not be removed in high vacuum. All hydrogen atoms of the methyl groups that are bonded to aluminum centers were found in the difference Fourier maps but were thereafter placed in calculated positions (SHELXL riding models AFIX 33 and 137) for structures 3 and 4. For compound 2 the hydrogen atoms of the coordinating methyl groups were refined. CCDC-600834-600836 contain the supplementary crystallographic data for this paper.
