    • Assuming [A] = [T] = x and [G] = [C] = y, the phosphate content will be 2(x + y). Since T has two C=O groups, and G and C each contains one C=O group, the carbonyl content is still 2(x + y). The ratio between the phosphate and carbonyl groups is thus always 1.
