The system of physico-geographical regions of the Qinghai-Tibet (Xizang) Plateau
-
The authors collaborate on projects on molecular systematics, population dynamics and evolution of alpine plants in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau. This work is part of a collaborative study on the analysis of forest invasion and decline in response to past climatic oscillation and anthropogenic activities. Qian Zhang studies population genetics and histories of junipers in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and the work reported here constitutes a part of her PhD dissertation. Tzenyuh Chiang studies the phylogeography of South Asian plants. Jianquan Liu and his laboratory are mainly interested in evolution and adaptation of organisms in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau. Miehe Georg has been working on the evolutionary history of ecosystems in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau. Richard Abbott conducts research on various aspects of plant variation and evolution.
