    • The central cell correction would affect our results quantitatively. However, its value for Mn in an InAs strained quantum dot is unknown. Even if we assume it to be that of unstrained InAs, it would not qualitatively change the fact that the Mn-doped QD with one ore two holes shows a dramatic variation of the magnetization.

    • It should be noted that Eq. (3) states are not exactly eigenstates of the 4×4 Luttinger-Kohn Hamiltonian and can only be treated as variational functions. However, they capture the important quantum numbers of the system: the parity and the total angular momentum.
