    • Elemental analysis was obtained using a micromass platform inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (ICP-MS). Samples were prepared by drop casting the nanocrystals into a plastic centrifuge tube. Concentrated nitric acid was added to dissolve the particles and then diluted with deionized water to provide manganese, arsenic, and indium concentrations within the required ranges based upon calibration curves created from elemental standards.
