    • The RAS signal is commonly given in terms of the reflectance (ΔR/R) or of the complex Fresnel reflectivities (Δr/r). The latter is usually used for set-ups where both components (real and imaginary) can be measured. The two quantities are related and for small amplitudes can be given as ΔR/R=2 Re(Δr/r).
