    • The tungsten carbene complexes were also found reactive towards copper catalysts. Thus, (pentacarbonyl)[(E-2-furylethenyl)(methoxy)carbene]tungsten complex afforded 4c (80% yield; 1:1 stereoisomeric mixture) when stirred in THF with CuBr (1 equiv) at 50 °C.
