    • Luminescence spectra were taken in a 90° geometry on a modified ISA Fluorolog FL321 spectrometer, equipped with a 450 W xenon source and Hamamatsu R928 PMT (visible wavelengths) and InGaAs (near-IR wavelengths) detectors. Sample solutions were freshly prepared before each measurement. Dilute solutions (UV absorbance of about 0.2 at 400 nm) were used in order to minimize the influence of self-absorbance and self-quenching.
