Endothelin-1 enhances nitric oxide-induced cell death in cultured vascular smooth-muscle cells
-
Nakahashi T, Fukuo K, Nishimaki H, Hata S, Shimizu M, Suhara T, et al. Endothelin-1 enhances nitric oxide-induced cell death in cultured vascular smooth-muscle cells. J Cardiovasc Pharmacol 1998; 31 (suppl 1): S351-S353. This article examined the aspects of apoptosis in endothelial cells. The authors were able to demonstrate that the programmed cell death of vascular smooth muscles is induced by nitric oxide.
