    • RP-HPLC analysis was performed with a 5 μm Supelcosil LC-18S column (25 cm × 4.6 mm) and the following gradient pumped at a flow rate of 1 mL/min: linear from 0% B to 50% B in 50 min, isocratic 50% B for 5 min, and linear from 50% B to 0% B in 5 min. However, when using the following gradient at a flow rate of 1 mL/min-linear from 0% B to 70% B in 50 min, isocratic 70% B for 5 min, and linear from 70% B to 0% B in 5 min-the retention time of 16 is 44 min. A: 0.1 M triethylammonium acetate, pH 7.0; B: MeCN.

    • Given the thermolytic properties of these carbonates it is recommended to remove the solvent without external source of heat to prevent premature 5′-O-deprotection.
