    • Both the background current and the noise levels at 900 mV in Figure 3 were higher than those at the lower potentials. The background current, which we were unable to suppress on repeated trials with newly prepared solutions, was apparently diffusion controlled and, hence, showed the effect of stirring by nitrogen gas bubbling. The measurements at lower potentials were made with a low current module that had a noise filtering facility.
