    • In addition, an exciting cintinuation of this project is to examine the individual silicon nanostructure measas using scanning tunneling spectroscopy (STS). Differences in the I-V plots of multilayered terrace structures as compared to single-layer terrace structures will be examined, as will a comparison between the STS of both silicon nanostructures and similarly sized metal nanostructures.
