14. The electron beam deflection is perpendicular to the direction of magnetization according to the Lorentz force. The uniformly magnetized region yields an increased intensity at one end and decreased intensity at the other end. The multidomain configuration yields a contrast consisting of bright and dark lines (domain walls) within the region. (see Ref. 9)
