    • 20 methyl methacrylate was graft-polymerized on initiator-fixed silica particles with a large surface area, and the direct GPC analysis of the graft chains cleaved off the silica particles by treatment with a HF solution confirmed that the graft chains have nearly the same molecular weight and molecular weight distribution as the free polymers.
