A new member of the Il-1 receptor family highly expressed in hippocampus and involved in X-linked mental retardation
-
The ILIRAPL gene is deduced from the analysis of the available genomic sequence in the critical region. This is the first example in the case of NSMR of a gene identified in silico. The study is a very nice demonstration of the expression of IL1RAPL during mouse development and in structures known to be involved in memory development, such as the hippocampus, dentate gyrus and enthorinal cortex

Requirement of Rsk-2 for EGF-activated phosphorylation of histone H3
-
In this paper, experiments are presented to try to underline the role of the Rsk-2 gene. The authors show that Rsk-2 is required for EGF-stimulated histone H3 phosphorylation and suggest that histone H3 and chromatin may be either a direct or indirect target of Rsk-2
