For sample 1, the pre-edge area of Q = {22 units - [(27%)(10 units)] - [(12%)(14 units)]}/61% = 29 units. For sample 2, the pre-edge area of Q = {18 units - [(33%)(10 units)] - [(23%)(14 units)]}/44% = 26 units.
