The use of different lots of MAO resulted in substantially different activities (e.g., Table 3, entry 7 vs Table 4, entry 10), although structure/activity trends remained unchanged. Increased aging of MAO resulted in increased activity, and the use of the MAO stored at low temperature and then heated for 2 h at 80 °C resulted in higher activity than use of MAO simply stored at low temperature.
