27. In a previous study of Ref. 23, we assigned the resonance state as the (formula presented) state. However, in the previous study we could not obtain the single-domain surface, and the assignment contained ambiguities.

29. In the present study, we deposited Ba on the clean Si(111) surface at elevated temperature (formula presented) and the obtained surface is a ordered (formula presented) surface. Thus, the present results are consistent with those of Ahn et al. (Ref. 26).
