    • Is bacteremic sepsis associated with higher mortality in transplant recipients than in nontransplant patients? A matched case-control propensity-adjusted study

They were matched by age, gender, and hospital unit location at the time of blood culture collection. The results showed a statistically significant higher survival rates for septic patients who had organ transplantation than that those without transplantation, after accounting for disease severity and co-morbidities
