For PVDF-TrFE, in addition to the ferroelectric to paraelectric phase transition occurring at ∼390 K, there exists other relaxation mechanisms such as the glass transition (∼235 K) at lower temperatures, which involve cooperative conformational change of side chains or relaxation of the polymer backbone. The temperature dependence of conformational dynamics of oriented PVDF-TrFE copolymer with a high VDF content of above 70% is documented in the literature. See refs 18 and 22.
