    • Work from Martin has illustrated that nickel silyl and nickel hydride intermediates are generated at 100 °C using phosphine catalysts. While such intermediates would be consistent with silane crossover, the generation of the requisite nickel hydride and silyl species does not occur in the temperature range of our studies.
