This large prospective cohort study from a high arsenic area of Bangladesh looked at urine arsenic and proteinuria features both as a cross-sectional as well as a longitudinal component. This study found a positive association between urine arsenic and baseline proteinuria, as well as change urine arsenic and incident proteinuria. It did not find an association between baseline urine arsenic and incident proteinuria
