41. In the original version of the heterogeneous-elasticity theory [16] it was not the bulk modulus K, that was assumed to be constant but the Lamé constant λ=K-2/3G. The results are very similar, but in this version the macroscopic bulk modulus is frequency dependent, which is at variance with simulation data [12, 13] which show that K is frequency independent.
