    • In a recent publication it has been shown that the sulfur compounds in the myoglobin assay may trigger CO release from CO-RM-3. In the case of the photochemically activated CO-RMs this is clearly not the case, as no CO is released in the dark and the group 6 norbornadiene complexes release CO in pure EtOH or DMSO solution, again indicating that the process is not intitiated by the conditions of the assay. See
