    • The impact of obesity on the left ventricle: The multi-ethnic study of atherosclerosis (MESA)
    • This large multicenter study used MRI to define cardiac geometry and function in over 5000 patients. There was a continuous relationship between BMI and LV mass, but no relationship between BMI and LV ejection fraction. LV function was normal, even in the most obese patients in this study
