The mean free path λ for 300keV electrons in Fe is roughly around 100 nm (Ref. 11). The pure ZLP was obtained by using different peak fitting models available in the Digital Micrograph™software, such as the reflected tail or combination of Gaussian/Lorentzian (resulting in a FWHM of approximately 2eV).
