12. 3CN was added, 30 wt % of resin Amberlyst 15 at room temperature. The mixture was stirred for the desired time (Table 2), until the complete disappearance of the starting materials as judged by TLC. The reaction mixture was filtered, and the resin was washed with acetone. The combined filtrate and washings were concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was chromatographed on silica gel (eluent hexane-EtOAc) and/or crystallized (hexane-EtOAc) to afford the products.
