    • Note that, even in the case of a purely viscous medium, (ω) is not quite (ω), the FLT of (t). In fact, for this case (ω) = Γ[4/3](ω)/(iω). Accordingly, in the viscoelastic medium case one may heuristically define a time-dependent propagation length (t) as the inverse FLT of (ω)/(iω). Yet, the actual time-dependent shape must be obtained by taking the inverse FLT of eqn (39), rather than inserting this heuristic (t) into eqn (27)
