    • In our previous report [ref 19] the anti-tubercular activity was evaluated using the agar dilution method and the MIC of the compound 5bm was found to be 1.56 mg/mL. In the present report the in vitro anti-tubercular activity of the synthesized compounds was evaluated using the BACTEC radiometric method which is faster and more reliable as compared to the agar dilution method [see ref 35 and 36]. The MIC of 5bm using the BACTEC radiometric method was determined as 6.25 mg/mL.
