    • The yield of the organoxenon ions was significantly lower in the synchrotron studies because 1) the collision chamber of the instrument used at the synchrotron SOLEIL has a length of only 3 cm, compared with about 20 cm in the TSQ mass spectrometer and 2) the protection system of the ultra-high vacuum system of SOLEIL did not allow for compensation of the shorter collision chamber by accordingly elevated xenon pressures.
