The principle of the separation of powers was also discussed extensively in The Federalist Papers and is reflected in Articles I (legislative power), II (executive power), and III (judicial power) of the US Constitution. This organic understanding of the separation of powers is also found in various other constitutions around the world, both written and unwritten.
